On 21 March 2023, we were at the B2B 2.0 info market at the Mauritshof in IJzendijke. The municipality of Sluis (the Entrepreneurs' Desk and Tourism) organised this event together with the Gastvrij Zeeuws-Vlaanderen Foundation. This foundation carries out visitor management and hospitality in the municipality of Sluis.

What is the link between a pineapple and your organisation? That was the question on the invitation to the B2B. A pineapple is the symbol for hospitality, something we at OnbegrensdZeeuwsVlaanderen consider very important. We want people who come to live, work or visit here to feel welcome and welcomed. One of the presentations, given by Laura de la Mar, therefore dealt with this theme. Hospitality makes all the difference.

Workshops and information market

Enthusiastic entrepreneurs followed an exciting afternoon programme with various workshops. Topics included doing business with Belgium, digital resilience and hospitable entrepreneurship. After this programme, there was an information market where OnbegrensdZeeuwsVlaanderen was also represented.

We noticed from the visitors at our stand that the municipality of Sluis is a tourist region. We had fascinating conversations with camping owners, farmers and start-up entrepreneurs. Industries we do not come into contact with every day, which made it very valuable and helpful for us. We were also able to provide them with targeted information and refer them well. A win-win situation!
